Jigsaw Visitors’ Centre Tea Bar
The refreshment area is run in the visits social room at HMP Leeds by members of staff from the Jigsaw Visitors’ Centre. All proceeds made from the refreshments area are reinvested back into the centre to provide support services for families and visitors who have a loved one at HMP Leeds.
The refreshments area is staffed with one refreshment worker Monday to Friday and two refreshment workers on Saturday and Sunday. These levels are used to ensure that this service is financially viable.
In the visits room there is a play area manned by Jigsaw Visitor centre staff and is open weekends and all school holidays. Additional funding is being sourced to open the play area 7 days a week.
Only family members and visitors are able to come up and use the tea bar.
Due to health and safety nobody under 18 can be served at the tea bar.
No hot to boiling water can be served and all lids must remain on cups at all times.
£20 change can be taken into the prison by each adult person to spend on a wide variety of products available:

Queuing
Queues can often form at the beginning of each visit. It is advisable to wait while there are only a few people queuing before joining so that valuable time from your visit isn’t taken up. There is plenty of time to purchase items whilst on your visit.
Your patience around queuing is appreciated and please remember we are a charity and we are here for you.
Suggestions are always welcome.
