Property Further Information

The property office is where visitors can hand in property for inmates. To hand in property the inmate must have a blue application form in. You don’t have to be on a visit to hand property in, but you do have to turn up at the date stated on the form. Please ring on the date of the exchange to ensure that unforeseen circumstances haven’t affected the proposed exchange.

For an inmate to go into his own clothes he must have:

Only enhanced and remand inmates are entitled to wear their own clothes.

The full clothing allowance must be handed in all at once or it will not be accepted.

Other information

CD players have to be bought via the prison. If an inmate has no CD player, no CDs will be allowed in. No copied CDs are allowed in.

Specialist CDs will only be accepted upon production of a receipt and a letter from the retailer verifying they are genuine.

Only enhanced inmates are entitled to a playstation/gamecube. These must be the original versions only. NO playstation 3s or 18+ games.

ID and proof of address is needed when handing in these items.

Only enhanced and remand inmates are entitled to wear their own clothes.

If an inmate is wishing to hand out property to you, you must have ID and proof of address or you will not be given the property.
