Play Specialist starts this Summer!
Jigsaw is delighted to announce we have secured 3 years funding and employed a Play Specialist to guide and support Dads inside prison to play age appropriately and creatively with their children in the Play Area during specified Visit times. We have had an enormous and moving response from our consultations with prisoners and their families, and cannot wait to begin this new project. Both visitors and Dad's are expecting this will help them bond with their children more as well as teaching them valuable parenting and communication skills for after release.

New play area
We are delighted to say that there will now be a play area in the visits room for HMP Leeds. This means all child visitors during school holidays and at weekends will have supervised play activities. We hope this improves the experience of visiting prison and the general wellbeing of children of prisoners.
Listener from HMP Leeds
We are pleased to have a Listener from HMP Leeds in the Centre every day, as well as our new Family Reception Worker.
