Getting to HMP Leeds

Jigsaw Visitors’ Centre is a registered charity that is now open 7 days a week, 9.15 to 4.45 for support and advice for those visiting their loved ones in HMP Leeds. We understand that prisoners’ families are just as affected by imprisonment as prisoners are, and we hope to make that experience easier. We have a welcoming Centre with café, information, a play room for the children, and free internet access. Our Family Support Workers are here to help you and also, where appropriate, put you in touch with other organisations in the community who can help you to deal with those issues which can arise with a loved one in custody.

We hope this website can answer some of your questions and concerns. If not, please contact us on: 0113 2032771 or email .

Jigsaw Visitors’ Centre has a number of exciting projects designed to improve the wellbeing of prisoner’s families and our local community. Check Special Family Visits to find out about family events for prisoners and their families. We have daily sessions in the play room in HMP Leeds for prisoners and their families during term time and a play room open to all children during holidays and weekends: click Play Area in Visits to find more. We run a Healthy Relationships course for prisoners and their partners together to help relationships prior to release.

Jigsaw Visitors Centre runs the Tea Bar in the Visits room and as a registered Charity we rely on external funding and donations for all our extra projects. External funding means monitoring so please excuse our monitoring paperwork! It means we can help you and other families all the better. If you would like to make a donation to us, every little helps…

If you are interested in volunteering please contact Lee Stephenson, Centre Manager on 0113 2032511. Email .
